The Garda is a different animal from the rest of the Piusi range — a small bronze gear pump originally designed for marine work, which is where its two defining characteristics come from. It mounts in any position without risking motor overheating, and it handles water, diesel and low-to-medium viscosity oils equally well.
That versatility makes it useful well beyond boats: workshop oil transfer, decanting from drums and canisters, topping up gearboxes, moving coolant or water. Bronze body, stainless steel shaft and bronze gears give it corrosion resistance that a standard fuel pump doesn't have.
This is the Garda 5, the 230V mains version, rated for constant duty and IP65.
