The ZVA 32 is the largest automatic nozzle in the ZVA range — DN32 (1¼") and rated to 200 L/min. At that flow, filling stops being the bottleneck in a refuelling operation.
It is built for bulk commercial work: road transport depots, mining fleets, marine and aviation refuelling. The higher working pressure ceiling of 6 bar reflects the kind of systems it is fitted to.
Shut-off is by Elaflex's patented venturi system with a safety cut-out attitude valve: the nozzle closes when the tank fills, and also if the spout is pointed upwards or the nozzle is dropped. The valve opens with the flow for fine control at the end of a fill and closes against it, so there is no hydraulic shock through the hose.
ZVA nozzles are modular by design, which is the whole argument for buying them. Simple repairs can be done on site, and in a workshop the nozzle strips down and rebuilds in minutes. With one or two intermediate repairs a ZVA will regularly reach ten years of service or more — which is why, despite costing more than average up front, they show the lowest total cost of ownership in the category. Not suitable for viscous oils or water, which will corrode the internals.
