AdBlue® dispensing has one failure mode that costs more than all the others combined: putting it in the diesel tank. The ZVA AdBlue nozzle is dimensioned so that misfuelling is prevented mechanically rather than by the operator paying attention.
Materials matter as much as dimensions here — urea solution attacks components that handle diesel without complaint, and a nozzle not built for it will corrode and contaminate the fluid on its way into an SCR system.
Supplied with a trigger guard. ZVA nozzles are modular by design, which is the whole argument for buying them. Simple repairs can be done on site, and in a workshop the nozzle strips down and rebuilds in minutes. With one or two intermediate repairs a ZVA will regularly reach ten years of service or more — which is why, despite costing more than average up front, they show the lowest total cost of ownership in the category.
